Supplier Ethical Information Exchange (Sedex) is a non-profit membership organization whose member companies are committed to leading buyers and suppliers to improve the performance of global supply chains through responsible and ethical business practices. In order to promote the integration of social auditing standards and monitoring practices, a group of retailers established the Sedex organization in 2001.
 
Sedex aims to reduce the pressure on suppliers to conduct audits and promote continuous improvement of the supply chain by sharing audit reports.
