Inspection rules of third-party inspection agencies

Inspection rules of third-party inspection agencies

As a professional third-party inspection agency, there are certain inspection rules. So, TTSQC has summarized the experience below and provided a detailed list for everyone. The details are as follows:

1. Check the order to understand what goods are to be inspected and the key points of inspection.

2. If the factory is located far away or in a particularly urgent situation, the inspector should provide detailed information on the inspection report, such as the order number, item number, shipping mark content, mixed loading method, etc., for verification after obtaining the order, and bring back samples to the company for confirmation.

3. Contact the factory in advance to understand the true situation of the goods and avoid running out of the way. However, if this situation really occurs, it should be stated in the report and the actual production situation of the factory should be checked.

4.If the factory places empty cardboard boxes in the middle of the already prepared goods, it is a clear act of deception, and the details of the incident should be provided in the report.

5. The number of major or minor defects must be within the acceptable range of AQL. If the number of defects is on the edge of acceptance or rejection, expand the sampling size to obtain a more reasonable ratio. If you are hesitant between acceptance and rejection, please refer it to the company for handling.

6. Carry out drop box test according to the order provisions and basic inspection requirements, check the shipping mark, outer box size, carton strength and quality, Universal Product Code and the product itself.

7. The drop box test should drop at least 2 to 4 boxes, especially for fragile products such as ceramics and glass.

8. The stance of consumers and quality inspectors determines what kind of testing needs to be conducted.

9.If the same issue is found during the inspection process, please do not focus solely on one point and neglect the comprehensive aspect; Overall, your inspection should include various aspects such as size, specifications, appearance, function, structure, assembly, safety, performance, and other characteristics, as well as related testing.

10. If it is a mid-term inspection, in addition to the quality aspects listed above, you should also investigate the production line to evaluate the factory's production capacity, in order to identify delivery time and product quality issues as soon as possible. You should know that the standards and requirements for mid-term inspection should be more strict.

11. After the inspection is completed, fill out the inspection report accurately and in detail. The report should be clearly written and complete. Before obtaining the factory's signature, you should explain the content of the report, the company's standards, and your final judgment to the factory in a clear, fair, firm, and principled manner. If they have different opinions, they can indicate them on the report, but in any case, they cannot argue with the factory.

12. If the inspection report is not accepted, the inspection report should be immediately returned to the company.

13. If the test fails, the report should indicate how the factory is required to make modifications to strengthen the packaging; If the factory is required to rework due to quality issues, the re inspection time should be indicated on the report and confirmed and signed by the factory.

14. QC should contact the company and factory by phone one day before departure, as there may be changes in the itinerary or unexpected events. Each QC must strictly adhere to this, especially for those who are far away.
